Job Description
Alliance Industrial Solutions has partnered with a leading Custom Label Printing company we are seeking Finishing Operators!
Pay: $17/hr
2nd Shift: 3pm-11pm Mon-Fri
The Finishing Operator checks for correct copy and color of the label order, completes all necessary paperwork and inspects the order in accordance with Quality Assurance procedures. The inspector ensures that all customer specifications for finishing are followed.
Basic Function/Summary:
- Works with Operators and Quality to ensure that production has manufactured quality labels
- Ensure proper splice.
- Apply knowledge to check orders and ensure that all press work is up to company and customer quality specifications.
- Packs product according to specifications.
- Assist operators with make ready and wash ups.
- Communicates effectively with all manufacturing personnel.
- Works overtime as needed.
- Performs other related duties as directed.
- Attend monthly safety meetings and observe all safety policies and procedures.
Requirements:
- Have good visual acuity and be able to discriminate colors.
- Required color blindness testing.
- Must be able to stoop, bend, reach and squat.
- Stand for long periods of time.
- Lift up to 15-25 lbs. on a repeated basis, and up to 50 lbs. occasionally
Qualifications:
- HS Diploma or GED
- Experience in a manufacturing environment
- Intermediate basic math skills.
- Must have the ability to navigate the computer programs utilized on the production floor.
- Training and/or exposure to Lean /5S and Process Improvement is a plus.
- Must have the ability to work cooperatively with co-workers and all levels of management
- Must work on a regular and predictable basis in an alert & safe manner.
Working Conditions/Environment:
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee may be near moving mechanical parts; and exposed to non-hazardous ink vapors.
- The noise level in the production environment is usually loud, but below OSHA defined decibels requiring hearing protection.
