Job Description
Forklift Shifts:
NIght: (6p-6a) 4 nights on, 3 days off, then 3 nights on 4 nights off (alternating weeks)
Forklift Pay Rate:
$17 - $19, based on experience
Forklift Operator Responsibilities:
- Loading, unloading, shipping, and receiving warehouse items.
- Transporting materials to different locations within the facility.
- Optimizing loads to ensure operational efficiency.
- Securing loads to equipment before transport.
- Inspecting inventory for damages or defects
- Scheduling vehicles for maintenance and repairs.
- Operating R/F scanner or tablets on forklift to manage inventory
- Managing inventory by using a state-of-the-art warehouse management system
- Picking and wrapping orders for shipment.
- Operating equipment in a safe manner and participating in safety meetings
- Perform regular cleaning of warehouse and equipment
- Perform other work functions as needed
Forklift Operator Requirements:
- High school diploma or GED.
- Valid fork-lifting certificate – preferred
- Must have at least 2 years of consistent work history recently as a forklift operator
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Excellent hand-eye coordination.
- Proficiency operating technical machinery and RF scanners.
- Good physical condition.
- Mathematical aptitude.
- Good organizational skills.
- Attention to detail.
- Good written and verbal communication.
