Maintenance Supervisor.
Salaried: $80k to $90k
3rd shift
Overview:
The Maintenance Supervisor will have a wide range of reactive and preventative maintenance projects across all departments including but not limited to Forge, Extrusion, Die, Machining and Processing specific areas. Coordinates various activities of individual workers within the maintenance department and collaborates on internal fabrication of metal parts and tooling as needed to supplement repair and or improve processes.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities of Maintenance Supervisor:
• Directs workers in electrical, electronic, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic maintenance and repair of machinery and equipment.
• Performs scheduled preventive maintenance on process equipment. Examine parts equipment for defects, such as breakage or excessive wear. Clean, lubricate, or adjust parts, equipment, or machinery.
• Assists workers in diagnosing malfunctions in machinery and equipment.
• Supports workers with dismantling, assembling, and installing industrial machinery. • Initiates material, tool, and equipment requisitions and communicates with third party vendors.
• Troubleshoots robots/automation.
• Maintain parts inventory, tools and supplies.
• Studies production schedules and estimates worker hour requirements for completion of job assignment.
• Reports estimated down time of production and prognosis of machine defects • Enforces, promotes, adheres to safety protocols and regulations.
• Interprets and translates updated specifications, blueprints, and job orders to workers • Establishes or adjusts work procedures to meet production schedules.
• Seeks to improve quality of products, lifespan of equipment and tool/resource organization.
• Invents, innovates or implements process improvements to increase efficiency of production, or performance or equipment and employees.
• Actively participates in talent development, team engagement and new hire training.
• Maintains time and production records.
• Confers with other supervisors to coordinate activities of individual departments.
• Shares responsibly of standard work items and performs other duties as requested
Supervisory Responsibilities of Maintenance Supervisor:
• Directly supervises upwards of 10 employees within the Maintenance Department. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws.
• Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
