Job Description
Pay: $17/hr
Hours: Mon-Fri 2pm-10pm
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare molds and cast refractory parts (finished parts weigh between 2-80 lbs.)
- Remove cast parts from molds and perform cosmetic finishing
- Apply wash coating and hand sand parts as needed
- Inspect parts for cracks or voids and perform necessary touch-ups
- Operate mobile equipment if required
- Maintain a clean and safe workspace following company health and safety policies
- Perform other tasks as assigned
Education:
High School Diploma or GED (required)
Skills & Experience:
- Able to read blueprints
- Understanding of weight measurements (lbs., oz.)
- Basic math skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication, and percentages using a calculator)
- Ability to lift 40-80 lbs.
- Previous experience in a manufacturing environment
- Carpentry, Masonry and light fabrication experience are all a plus!
Additional Requirements:
- English proficiency (preferred)
- Ability to pass a basic skills test (math and tape measure reading)
- Must pass a background check and drug test
