Job Description


Alliance Industrial Solutions has partnered with a manufacturer specializing in precision machining production parts for the heavy truck industry and we are looking for a Shipping Administrator!  This is a full time position in Salisbury, NC

Pay: $16-$18 BOE
Shift: 7:00am - 3:30pm Mon-Fri 

Position Overview:
Are you experienced in shipping operations? Are you a detail-oriented, organized professional who thrives on meeting deadlines? If so, you could be the perfect fit for our team. As a Shipping Administrator, you will oversee all outgoing shipping activities, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and excellent condition of shipments. You will coordinate the team to maintain smooth shipping operations aligned with our strict schedules.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise and coordinate workers engaged in verifying outgoing shipments, keeping accurate records, and preparing shipments.

  • Review shipping notices, bills of lading, invoices, and orders to determine shipping priorities, assignments, and methods.

  • Ensure all shipments meet deadlines and comply with company and regulatory standards.

  • Compile records of unfilled orders and prepare bills of lading.

  • Assist plant workers with shipping activities as needed.

  • Monitor material inventory to support shipping schedules.

  • Ensure payroll regulations are followed for shipping department staff.

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Strong planning and organizational skills to manage shipping schedules efficiently.

  • Ability to assess resource requirements and adjust to meet shipping demands.

  • Knowledge of shipping procedures, routes, and rates.

  • Leadership skills to supervise and coordinate team members effectively.

  • Attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
