1st Shift CNC Machinist

Shift: 6am - 2:30pm OR 7am - 3:30pm
Pay:  $22 - $30/hr (based on experience)

Job Description 
Machine shop in Barberton, OH has immediate openings for experienced CNC Machinists, highly skilled with Fanuc controls.  This position will be responsible for the complete setup of all CNC machines without supervision.  Key essentials for this role include: Working well in a Team environment, having a strong comprehension of GD&T and blueprint reading, understanding Lean Manufacturing concepts, and utilizing SFM (speeds and feeds) to manufacture complex alloys. 

Primary Duties & Responsibilities 
The duties and responsibilities for this role include but are not limited to:
  • Ensuring all CNC machines are fully setup to produce high quality parts
  • Meeting all production schedules and deadlines
  • Effectively communicate, coach, and lead the entire team of CNC Machinists in the plant
  • Provide feedback and updates to Management on production metrics and goals
  • Diagnose tool wear patterns and determine causes
  • Provide input into product optimization
  • Perform open bench quality inspections 
  • Consult with tooling and equipment vendors to find optimal solutions
Experience & Education 
To be considered for this opportunity, candidates should have:
  • At least Three (3) to Five (5) years of prior CNC Machinist experience utilizing and setting up CNC machine equipment.  More than Five (5) years of prior and relevant work history is strongly desired.  
  • Prior experience as a CNC Programmer is highly desired.
  • All candidates should have no less than a High School Diploma (or equivalent), however advanced education in a related field is strongly desired. 
  • Strong math skills are essential in this role.
