Job Description

Alliance Industrial Solutions has partnered with a worldwide leader in toolholding and workholding, gripping technology and automation technology. We are looking for a Grinder Operator!  This is a full time 1st shift position located in Morrisville, NC.

Pay: $20/hr-$23/hr
Shift: 6:30am-3pm Mon-Fri
 
About the Role:
We are seeking an experienced CNC Grinder Operator to join our manufacturing team. In this role, you will operate CNC-controlled grinding machines and center grinders to produce precision hydraulic tool-holders and related components. This position requires technical expertise, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced production environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Independently set up and operate CNC-controlled grinding machines and center grinders.

  • Select, clamp, and align workpieces, fixtures, tools, and accessories for machining.

  • Set expansion rates on finished hydraulic holders.

  • Calculate and set machine controls for speed, feed, angle, and depth of cut.

  • Input, retrieve, and edit computerized machine control data.

  • Balance grinding wheels and monitor machine operations to ensure quality.

  • Adjust controls or programs as needed to maintain tolerances.

  • Verify finished workpieces meet specifications using precision measurement tools.

  • Collaborate with supervisors, engineers, and coworkers to resolve machining or design issues.

  • Perform routine maintenance and minor repairs on machines.

  • Maintain a clean and organized work area in compliance with 5S standards.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma required; Machine Technology certificate preferred.

  • Minimum 1 year experience in grinding

  • Strong understanding of hydraulic tool-holders and their applications.

  • Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints, drawings, and technical documents.

  • Skilled in using calipers, micrometers, and precision gauges.

  • Familiarity with both metric and English measurement systems.
  • Ability to follow safety rules, maintenance procedures, and operational guidelines.
