Job Title: Brake Press Operator
Pay: $23 - $27 per hour
Hours: 1st Shift, Full-Time (7am - 3:30pm)

As a Brake Press Operator, you'll support daily production by setting up, programming, and operating press brakes to accurately bend sheet metal according to detailed blueprints and specifications. What You'll Do
As a Brake Press Operator, you will be responsible for:
  • Reading and interpreting blueprints and technical drawings to determine exact bending specifications and dimensions.
  • Selecting, installing, and adjusting tooling such as punches and dies based on material type and desired angles.
  • Positioning and aligning sheet metal accurately on the press brake for precise bending.
  • Programming CNC controls to set parameters like pressure, bend angle, and back gauge position to ensure consistent, high-quality output.
  • Operating the press brake and monitoring cycles for proper functioning and quality assurance throughout each operation.
  • Inspecting finished parts with calipers and micrometers to confirm they meet dimensional and quality standards, checking for defects.
  • Troubleshooting operational issues to minimize downtime and maintain productivity.
  • Performing routine machine maintenance, including cleaning, lubrication, and minor repairs to keep equipment in optimal condition.

  • High school diploma or GED equivalent.
  • Minimum of 2 years experience operating brake presses or a similar technical background.
  • Strong blueprint reading skills with the ability to interpret complex drawings.
  • Proficiency in using precision measuring tools such as calipers and micrometers.
  • Basic math skills for calculating angles and dimensions required during bending operations.
  • Mechanical aptitude with a good understanding of CNC control programming and operation.
  • Excellent attention to detail and dedication to producing high-quality work.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision, demonstrating initiative and reliability.
