Machine Operator Assistant – NIGHT Shift near Brunswick!

Job Title: Machine Operator Assistant 

Pay: $18 - $20 per hour ($1 differential on 3rd shift)

Hours: 3rd Shift

Start Date: ASAP

As a Machine Operator Assistant, you’ll play a vital role in supporting production operations, ensuring the smooth handling of coils, and maintaining workflow efficiency. You’ll work closely with the production team to meet daily targets and contribute to a safe, productive environment.

What You’ll Do:
  • Set up overarms to the correct size and manage coils on the uncoiler to prepare for processing.
  • Hang coils on the uncoiler, unload scrap, and assist operators to maximize productivity.
  • Read and interpret job tickets to understand specific requirements.
  • Handle basic math calculations for measurements and adjustments.
  • Perform light housekeeping tasks to maintain a clean and safe work environment.
  • Coordinate materials and assist in maintaining a steady workflow.
  • Help ensure safety and quality standards are consistently met throughout the shift.

What You’ll Bring:
  • GED/High School diploma or equivalent.
  • Ability to read and interpret simple instructions and memos.
  • Basic math skills including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.
  • Physical ability to lift up to 50 pounds, stand for extended periods, reach, and occasionally bend.
  • Strong attention to safety, detail, and quality.
  • Willingness to learn and adapt in a team environment.
  • Crane certification provided by the company (training available if needed).
