Job Title: Molding Process Technician
Pay: $28 - $32 per hour
Hours: Monday - Friday, 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM

As a Molding Process Technician, you'll be essential in ensuring the efficiency and quality of injection molding operations. You'll work closely with the operations team to optimize processes, troubleshoot machine issues, and maintain high production standards—empowering your growth within a supportive environment.

What You'll Do
As a Molding Process Technician, you will be responsible for:
  • Operating injection molding machines and auxiliary equipment to produce high-quality plastic parts according to specifications.
  • Setting up and installing molds using clamps, bolts, and hand tools, ensuring safety and precision.
  • Adjusting and modifying robot programs to handle parts efficiently while preventing damage.
  • Monitoring equipment performance, troubleshooting issues, and making necessary adjustments to optimize production.
  • Performing preventive maintenance and equipment checks to minimize downtime.
  • Documenting process changes and maintaining accurate records of production activities.
  • Reading and interpreting water diagrams and molds to ensure proper cooling and processing.
  • Conducting quality inspections of parts based on established criteria and evaluating raw materials.
  • Loading, mixing, and handling thermoplastic materials and coloring pigments as required.
  • Assisting with secondary molding operations and material switchovers.
  • Ensuring the machinery is prepared for shutdown at shift end, correctly adjusting heats and auxiliary equipment.

What You'll Bring
The ideal candidate will have:
  • A high school diploma or equivalent, with 7-10 years of experience in plastic injection molding.
  • Strong technical skills with a solid understanding of injection molding processes.
  • Previous experience in an industrial or manufacturing environment preferred.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams.
  • The physical ability to lift up to 40 lbs, perform repetitive hand grasping, and meet visual demands such as color vision and depth perception.
  • Self-driven with a results-oriented attitude and the ability to manage multiple projects efficiently.
