Job Title: Shipping Administrator
Pay: $16 - $18 per hour
Hours: 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM, Monday to Friday
Start Date: ASAP

Join a respected manufacturing firm specializing in precision machining production parts for the heavy truck industry as a Shipping Administrator in Salisbury, NC, and make an impact every day. As a Shipping Administrator, you’ll play a key role in ensuring the timely and accurate execution of all shipping activities, contributing to the overall success of our operations. You’ll work closely with the logistics team to deliver exceptional results that keep our production flowing smoothly.

What You’ll Do:
As a Shipping Administrator, you will be responsible for:
  • Supervising and coordinating team members engaged in verifying outgoing shipments, maintaining accurate records, and preparing shipments for distribution.
  • Reviewing shipping notices, bills of lading, invoices, and orders to determine shipping priorities, assignments, and methods.
  • Ensuring all shipments meet designated deadlines while complying with company and regulatory standards.
  • Compiling records of unfilled orders and preparing bills of lading as needed.
  • Assisting plant workers with shipping activities to optimize workflow and efficiency.
  • Monitoring material inventory to support the timely execution of shipping schedules.
  • Ensuring payroll regulations are consistently followed for shipping department staff.

  • A high school diploma or equivalent.
  • Proven experience in shipping operations or logistics.
  • Strong planning and organizational skills to manage shipping schedules efficiently.
  • The ability to assess resource requirements and adjust to meet shipping demands effectively.
  • Knowledge of shipping procedures, routes, and rates.
  • Leadership skills to supervise and coordinate team members effectively.
  • A high attention to detail and commitment to accuracy in all tasks.
